For most people, being more active is
very safe and has many health benefits. But, before
increasing physical activity, you need to make sure
it is safe for YOU.
The questions below are designed to assist
individuals aged 15 to 69 in determining whether they
should see their doctor before increasing physical activity.
(Individuals who are over 69 years of age and not used
to being very active should check with their doctor.)
Please note that if you are not feeling
well because of a temporary illness, such as a cold or
fever, start being physically active again after you are
feeling better. Also, if you are or may be pregnant, talk
to your doctor before you start becoming more active.
