The Library of Michigan maintains a large collection of resources that relate to Ontario genealogy research. Titles may be found by searching ANSWER, the Library's online catalog. When searching for Ontario genealogy resources on ANSWER, use the following keywords to retrieve the greatest number of citations:

• ontario genealogy
• ontario cemeteries
• ontario census
• ontario biography
• ontario passenger links
• ontario atlas

Adding a geographic location will allow you to narrow your search. For example, ontario genealogy and toronto, will retrieve Ontario resources that focus on the city of Toronto. When searching by keyword it is not necessary to capitalize proper nouns.

This publication is not intended as a comprehensive list of Ontario's genealogy resources; rather, it is a list of notable genealogical materials available at the Library of Michigan. Searching ANSWER is the only way to determine if the Library of Michigan holds the resources that you seek.
