Abrams Collection Genealogy Highlights
November-December 2000
Volume 2, Number 6

The Library of Michigan's Abrams Foundation Historical Collections contains a variety of resources to assist you with your German genealogical research. You can locate titles by searching on ANSWER, the Library's online catalog. Use the following keywords on ANSWER to retrieve the greatest number of German genealogy citations; clicking on the links in this publication will take you to the ANSWER catalog search results or the catalog record for a particular item:

Adding a geographic location will allow you to narrow your search. For example, genealogy and hesse will retrieve German resources that focus on the state of Hesse. When searching by keyword, it is not necessary to capitalize proper nouns.

This publication is not intended as a comprehensive list of German genealogy resources; rather, it is a list of notable genealogy materials available at the Library of Michigan. Searching ANSWER is the only way to determine if the Library of Michigan holds the resources that you seek.
