State and County Estimates of Poverty 1997-2004

The U.S. Census Bureau, with support from other Federal agencies, created the Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE) program to provide more current estimates of selected income and poverty statistics than the most recent decennial census.  Estimates are created for states, counties, and school districts.  Click here to access all states from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Additionally, Charlene Schlueter of the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments (NEMCOG) has compiled a summary of income and poverty estimates for Michigan and its counties, 1997 - 2004.  Click here to access Michigan and it's Counties.
