The First People to 1900

Notice of gallery closings: The Michigan Historical Museum's online exhibits never close . . . but, if you are planning a visit to our brick-and-mortar facility in downtown Lansing, please be aware that the museum's First People to 1900 exhibits will be closed to the public for building renovation from June 15 to September 21, 2009.

We invite you to stop by the Museum Education Room to enjoy costumed interpreters and hands-on activities that explore Michigan history before the 20th century. Find more information on our calendar of events.
