Arts Organization Spotlight
International Symphony Orchestra The orchestra is currently in its fiftieth season of offering quality performances held on both sides of the St. Clair River. This year the orchestra will present a wide variety of programmes, including: Beyond Broadway; The Emperor; The Trumpet Shall Sound; Shaggy Haggis; Caroline Returns; Reflections; and Fiftieth Favourites. In addition, two youth education concerts will take place at McMorran Auditorium, along with other special community events including the "Music Makes Sound Sense" in-school educational initiative. | PuppetART, Detroit Puppet Theater and Puppet Center Founded in 1998 by a group of puppeteers and artists trained in the former Soviet Union, all members of the PuppetART troupe are masters of puppetry art theater. Performances feature hand, rod, shadow, floor tabletop and string or marionette puppets. All events at PuppetART combine a theater performance, a tour of the museum and a workshop in the studio. |
