Vintage Base Ball See a 21st-century team playing 19th-century "base ball"—including rules, uniforms and gentlemanly conduct on the diamond. 2009 teams include the following base ball clubs: The Fort Mackinac Never Sweats, The Hartwick Pines Swampers and The Walker Wheels.
Historic Downtown Buildings, Mackinac Island, Open through Aug. 22, 2009 Mackinac State Historic Parks' five historic downtown buildings are open to the public between June 6–August 22. They are located throughout downtown Mackinac Island, including Market Street, Main Street, also known as Huron Street, and Fort Street. One general admission ticket gets you into all five Mackinac Island Historic Downtown Buildings.
Governor's Residence Tours, Every Wednesday, June 10–Aug. 26, 2009 Constructed in 1902 as a private summer cottage, this residence has served as weekend getaways for Michigan governor's since July 1945. (The nearby Major's Quarters was used as the official "Governor's Cottage" between 1935 and 1945.) Every Wednesday between June 10–August 26, the governor's summer residence is open to the public between 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. for a guided tour.
