Haworth, one of the world’s top furniture manufacturers, is growing their business in Michigan thanks to assistance from the Granholm administration.  In 2004, the company shut down plants in Arkansas, North Carolina, and Texas and a distribution center in Pennsylvania.  After the closings, they transferred almost all functions to Holland and Big Rapids. Over 2,000 jobs are expected to be generated, and more than $1.2 billion in personal income for Michigan workers.
