Meeting with the Governor

How do I request a meeting with the Governor?

The Governor is committed to making State government and the Executive Office more accessible to the customers of the State of Michigan.  Shortly after taking office in 2003 the Governor implemented Constituent Hours, which provides the Governor the opportunity to participate in face-to-face meetings with the people of Michigan to recognize achievements, discuss issues and listen to new ideas.
If you are aware of an individual or a group that deserves to be personally recognized by Governor Granholm for their accomplishments or contributions, or you would like to discuss your insight on state matters with the Governor we invite you to submit your request.
Please include complete information in your request. This includes complete name, address and phone number of all participants, as well as a detailed reason for the request.

Constituent Hours are generally held monthly.  All requests are reviewed by the Governor’s Constituent Services Division, and appointments are scheduled to provide geographic and issue diversity.  To fulfill as many requests as possible meetings are limited to 5-10 minutes each.  If a meeting is unable to be scheduled in a timely manner a member of Governor Granholm’s staff will contact you to address your concerns.

Please make your submissions in writing via the online Constituent Hour Request Form, or fax to (517) 335-6863, or U.S. Mail to the following address:

Governor Jennifer M. Granholm
