Whereas , The radiologic technologist field is divided into several modalities including diagnostic radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, cardiovascular interventional technology, mammography, C.T. scanning, and M.R.I. imaging; and,

Whereas , There are 8,000 registered radiologic technologists in the state of Michigan who are employed in hospitals and clinics; and,

Whereas , From September 17-19, 2008, members from across Michigan will converge in Midland for an educational meeting intended for members to share information and updates in the radiologic technologist field; and now therefore be it,

Resolved , That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim the week of September 14-20, 2008, as Radiologic Technologists Week in Michigan.
