Forgiveness Day

Whereas, Forgiveness Day was established to create awareness and understanding of the power of unconditional love and forgiveness; and,

Whereas, Forgiveness can help to maintain healthy and happy relationships with those that we work beside, live with and love; and,

Whereas, The need to remove bitterness from our hearts and to ask for forgiveness and to forgive one another is essential part of healthy communication; and,

Whereas, To repair, restore, rebuild and revive damaged relationships is very important for true love and joy to exist in the hearts of all people; and,

Whereas, The Center Of Unconditional Love is dedicated to helping people live healthy and happy lives and to develop an awareness and understanding of unconditional love;

Now, Therefore, be it Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, governor of the state of Michigan do hereby proclaim October 31, 2009, Forgiveness Day in Michigan.  I encourage all citizens to focus on forgiving others in order to help restore, repair, rebuild and revitalize relationships.
