12Governor Granholm Makes Good on Wager with Texas Governor
Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today made good on her friendly wager with Texas Governor Rick Perry. The Governor donned a Baylor Bears basketball jersey to enjoy a serving of Blue Bell ice cream and Dr. Pepper sent by Governor Perry
"The only thing sweeter than these Texas treats would have been a Spartan victory in the championship game," Granholm said.

A very happy birthday to Mrs. Joy McAlvey, the 4th oldest living State of Michigan retiree! Born in Montcalm County, Michigan, on April 10, 1902, the former Joy Curch began her career as a teacher, and was a graduate of Central Michigan University.
