Whereas, Technology plays an ever increasing role in the lives of students, providing them with a key to better learning, working smarter, and improving their lives; and,

Whereas, Incorporating new technologies into a child’s learning is crucial to creating a rich and challenging educational environment; and,

Whereas, The MACUL Student Technology Showcase shows the innovative ways a school and the student can incorporate technology to improve learning; and,

Whereas, Participating schools and their faculty, staff, students, and parents have demonstrated they are leaders in using technology to improve learning; and now therefore be it,

Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim March 17, 2005, as MACUL Student Technology Showcase Day in the State of Michigan.
