Contact:  Liz Boyd 517-335-6397

September 4, 2008

Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on the passing of Vicki Levin:

"Vicki Levin was a great woman who was dedicated to her family and to public service.  Dan and I were always touched by Vicki's warmth and care, and we continue to model the raising of our kids on the incredible example that Vicki and Sandy gave us.  We are sad for the Levin family and the Michigan family who have lost a sharp mind and a gigantic heart."
