Granholm Statement on General Motors

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on bankruptcy court approval for the sale of General Motors:

"The management and employees of the new General Motors are now in a position to take the best of the company's 100-year history and put it to work building cars and trucks for customers around the world. General Motors, like our other domestic auto companies, is positioned to help lead our nation toward a new green economy, and we stand with the company and its employees as they embark on a future that holds the promise of great success."
