LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the following recent appointments to the Michigan Bean Commission.  The commission’s main focus is on research and promotion of the dry edible bean market within the state.
 
Daniel Engelhard of Tuscola County, farmer for the Fertile Valley Seed Farm in Unionville.  Mr. Engelhard is appointed to represent District 3 growers for a term expiring December 31, 2006.  He succeeds David J. Milligan whose term has expired.

Thomas Wadsworth of Sanilac County, owner and farmer of Wadsworth Farms, Inc. in Sandusky.  Mr. Wadsworth is appointed to represent District 4 growers for a term expiring December 31, 2006.  He succeeds Robert S. Caister whose term has expired.

Daniel Leach of Gratiot County, dry bean manager for Michigan Agriculture Commodities, Inc. in Breckenridge.  Mr. Leach is reappointed to represent bean shippers for a term expiring December 31, 2006.

Clifford Roggenbuck of Huron County, owner of Roggenbuck Farm in Port Hope.  Mr. Roggenbuck is reappointed to represent District 5 growers for a term expiring December 31, 2006.
