Income Eligibility Chart
Use the following Income Eligibility Chart to determine if you may be income eligible.
For most families, DHS pays less than the full cost of child care. Families are expected to pay the difference between the DHS payment and the provider's actual charge. "% of DHS Rate Paid" means the portion of the DHS rate that will be paid. To find what percent your family may qualify for, calculate your gross monthly income
(the total earned and unearned income before taxes are taken out).
If you are paid weekly multiply your weekly wage by 4.3, if paid every 2 weeks multiply by 2.15. Find your gross monthly income in the row that corresponds to your family size. The % of DHS Rate Paid is in blue, just below it.
