WHAT:
The 2004 EducationYES! School Report Cards, with the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) required Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) status, will be released this week.
These Report Cards will be for only the 2,621 elementary and middle schools in Michigan. Because state law restricts the high school MEAP testing period to May, those schools’ Report Cards will not be available until later this year.
WHEN:
Thursday, August 5, 2004 9 a.m.
The EducationYES! School Report Cards will go live on the Michigan Department of Education website.
The website will have a link to the Michigan School Report Card page; a press release; an Excel file and pdf file of the results of each school; and Frequently Asked Questions.
