Application and Information
Grants provide funding assistance for design and construction of public recreational harbor/marina and boating access site/launch facilities throughout the state. On-site investigation by DNR, Parks and Recreation Division staff may be required to determine suitability of proposed work. Applicant may also be required to document area boating demand.
Timeline
Applications, and all required information, must be received in the Lansing office by the Program Manager by 5:00 p.m, April 1st. If April 1st falls on a weekend, the deadline would be the last State working day prior to April 1st.
Application Review
Technical review of applications is performed after the grant deadline. Grants are awarded based on Parks and Recreation Division review, prioritization, and funding appropriation. Large projects will require completed preliminary engineering study and permit approval prior to grant consideration for construction.
