Fayette Heritage Day

Date:  August 10, 2013
Time:  11:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Location: Fayette Historic Townsite, Garden

Visitors enjoy participating in a sack race at Fayette Historic Townsite's Fayette Heritage Day. Experience life in the late 19th century in one of Michigan's most picturesque settings.

Enjoy 19th-century music, food, games and crafts demonstrations, as Fayette celebrates its heyday as a bustling iron-smelting company town.

Watch the national pastime at Fayette's original baseball field. The Fayette team takes on park visitors (ages 13 and up) in a game of vintage "base ball," using 1860s rules—no gloves, no swearing and a bell rings for each run scored.

This event is free of charge, although a Michigan State Parks Recreation Passport is required for park entry. For more information, please send us an e-mail or telephone (906) 644-2603.

Fayette Historic Townsite—part of the Michigan Historical Museum System—is located within Fayette Historic State Park; a Michigan State Parks Recreation Passport is required for park entry. Here's more information about how to find Fayette.
