Boy Scout Conservation Stewardship Requirements
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has shared a long history of conservation stewardship with scouting organizations. Scouts have participated and completed a number of service projects or eagle projects on lands managed by the department. In honor of this commitment to conservation stewardship, and in recognition of the service provided, the DNR - in partnership with the Michigan Boy Scout and Girl Scout Councils - has initiated a Conservation Stewardship Award that scouts can earn.
Depending on the scouting level and program, both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can earn earning awards, badges, pins, try-its, etc. while helping conserve Michigan's natural resources by participating in stewardship activities on state lands. The scouting levels and requirements to earn a stewardship patch or medal and pins are listed below.
Good luck and thank you for your continued efforts.
