Katie McGlashen, InterpreterKatie McGlashen, Interpreter at Eddy Discovery Center
Katie has been a Park Interpreter with the DNR since May of 2011. After graduating from Michigan State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Natural Resource Management, she headed west for skiing, river running and adventures. In 2005, she came back to the mitten and began her career as a Naturalist for Genesee County Parks.
Now at the Eddy Discovery Center, Katie is interested in exploring and sharing the unique places that make Waterloo so special to birders, botanists, runners, hunters and fisherman alike. She believes it's important to build connections between park visitors and Michigan's natural resources through play, exploration and inquiry.
