SPECIAL LOCAL WATERCRAFT CONTROLS - KEWEENAW COUNTY

 LAC LA BELLE AND CONNECTING CHANNEL- WC-42-97-001 - Slow-no wake speed.

On the waters of Lake Lac La Belle and the connecting channel, Grant township, Keweenaw county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow-no wake speed in the following areas:

a) From the state access site to the opening of Lake Lac La Belle in section 32, range 29 west, town 58 north.

b) In the channel from the opening of Lake Lac La Belle to the end of the breakwall in Lake Superior, section 34, range 29 west, town 58 north.

The bounderies of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.
