WatercraftSPECIAL LOCAL WATERCRAFT CONTROLS - ALCONA COUNTYCROOKED LAKE - R281.701.1 - High-speed boating and water skiing prohibited. 1. On the waters of Crooked lake, sections 17 and 18, town 27 north, range 5 east, Mitchell township, Alcona county, it is unlawful to: (a) Operate a vessel at high speed. (b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on, water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance. History: Eff. October 4, 1973 MCCOLLUM LAKE - R281.701.2 - Hours for water-skiing. 2. On the waters of McCollum lake, county of Alcona, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall have in tow or shall otherwise be assisting in the propulsion of a person on, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance during the period from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day. (See R281.768.2. for regulation covering the part of this lake lying in Oscoda county). History: Eff. NORTH LAKE - WC-01-98-001 - Hours for high-speed boating. On the waters of North Lake, sections 10 and 15, town 25 north, range 6 east, township of Curtis, county of Alcona, state of Michigan, it is unlawful between the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day to: (a) Operate a vessel at high speed. (b) Have in tow, or shall otherwise assist in the propulsion of a person on waterskis, water sled, surfboard or other similar contrivance. The hours should be 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. of the following day when Eatern Daylight Savings Time is in effect. "High-speed boating" is defined as a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition. History: Eff. On the waters of Vaughn lake, sections 20, 21, 28 and 29, town 25 north, range 6 east, Curtis township, Alcona county, it is unlawful, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. of the following day, to: (a) Operate a vessel at high speed.
