Have you ever seen people kayaking and thought that would be fun? Join Crystal River Outfitters at Leelanau State Park for a Recreation 101 course that can help you get started on this amazing outdoor adventure. Kayaking is a sport everyone can enjoy and there's no better place to learn the basics then on than on the beautiful waters of the Leelanau Peninsula. Crystal River Outfitters will guide you through a variety of kayaking skills such as: basic safety, how to properly enter and exit a kayak and various paddling strokes. They will also provide information on additional places to kayak in the area so you can continue to improve your kayaking skills. Participants must be at least 12 years of age and the event may be cancelled within 2 hours of the start time if there is poor weather or rough water conditions. Pre-Registration is required with a minimum of 10 people for the event to take place. Please sign up by calling Leelanau State Park at (231)386-5422
