If the resource you wish to mark has already been listed in the State Register of Historic Sites or individually in the National Register of Historic Places, use the Michigan Historical Marker Application:
If the resource has not been designated at the state or national level, complete the Michigan Historical Marker - Historic Site Application:
In addition to the marker-historic site application, if you wish to mark a cemetery you must also complete the Cemetery Supplement:
If you wish to mark a location without aboveground historic resources that is associated with an important historical figure, organization, or event, or if you wish to commemorate a national register district or an archaeological site, use the Commemorative Application:
