Fayette Historic Townsite is located between Escanaba and Manistique, 17 miles south of U.S. 2 in Fayette Historic State Park.
Fayette Historic Townsite is open daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., from May 9 to June 14 and from September 8 to October 18.
Extended summer hours. From June 15 to September 7, Fayette Historic Townsite is open daily, from 9 a.m. to dusk.
The Michigan Historical Museum Store at this location maintains a separate operating schedule. Call ahead for store hours.

How Much Time?
Please allow two hours to tour the visitor center, 20 historic buildings and scenic overlooks. Scheduled guided tours are available mid-June through August. The park also offers camping, picnicking and hiking. See a map of the townsite.
Pets: Pets accompanied by and under the control of their human friends are welcomed on the grounds of this site. Pets may not enter any building. For further information, please refer to the DNR web page, Pets in State Park Campgrounds.

Accessibility
The visitor center is accessible to people with a mobility impairment. Some paths are graded, packed crushed rock. A wheelchair-accessible vault toilet is located in the townsite. Designated parking is available. A wheelchair may be borrowed, subject to availability.
