OIL AND GAS LEASE AUCTION HELD on May 5, 2009: A total of 97,056.59 acres of state-owned minerals were offered for lease. There were 25 successful bidders out of 31 registered. The total of 32,038.93 acres bid on are proposed to be leased within 24 counties. Of the total acres bid on, 18,335.30 acres are classified as development and 13,703.63 are nondevelopment.
