Mineral and Land Management

OIL AND GAS LEASE AUCTION HELD on May 5, 2009: A total of 97,056.59 acres of state-owned minerals were offered for lease. There were 25 successful bidders out of 31 registered. The total of 32,038.93 acres bid on are proposed to be leased within 24 counties. Of the total acres bid on, 18,335.30 acres are classified as development and 13,703.63 are nondevelopment. DIRECT OIL AND GAS LEASE - NONDEVELOPMENT: Oil and gas lease rights to 36.97 acres, more or less, of state-owned mineral rights located in Section 21, T26N, R11W, Blair Township, Grand Traverse County, have been requested by Arbor Operating, L.L.C., of Traverse City, Michigan.
