Hunters Reminded to Make Only One Application for Antlerless Deer Licenses

Contact:  Rod Clute 517-373-1263
Agency: Natural Resources

July 18, 2008

The Department of Natural Resources reminds hunters applying for an antlerless deer license that they can make only one application. This limit promotes an equitable distribution of private and public land antlerless deer licenses in areas where licenses are typically in high demand.

To avoid being disqualified from the drawing, hunters who have purchased more than one application should return to their license agent and void all but one application by Aug. 15.

The antlerless license application period runs through Aug. 15, with applications available at all license agents and online at www.michigan.gov/dnr. Hunters who wish to purchase more than one antlerless license must wait until unsold licenses go on sale Sept. 17 at 10 a.m.

The DNR is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural resources
for current and future generations.
