The Department of Natural Resources announced that Wilderness State Park has entered into a concession agreement to offer new outdoor recreation programs at the park. Wilderness has partnered with The Outfitter from Harbor Springs, which will offer a variety of activities at the park including kayak lessons, guided trips on the 26 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and other excursions. The services will be offered by reservation between Memorial and Labor Day.
The Outfitter would like to focus on educational programs and team building for the fall, winter and spring programs, possibly working with the cabin rental groups.
