GPS routes, showing the block boundaries in each county, are available as GPX files. These files can be downloaded to your computer and either viewed with a program that can read GPX files or uploaded to a GPS unit. You can find out more about GPX files and the programs that can read them at the GPX reference located at http://www.topografix.com/gpx.asp.

NOTE: It is recommended you save GPX files directly to your computer. To do this, right click on the county for which you would like to save GPS data and select "Save Target As...". Navigate to the appropriate folder in the 'Save As' window, then click "Save" (you can change the filename if you wish.) The GPX file should now appear in the directory you specified.

Displaying Maps on GPS Units

Routes may be mapped and displayed by most GPS units. These may be used as a reference when in the field, or while preparing to go, to locate physical landmarks which can be used as a reference for block boundaries. Your position in the field can also be displayed in real time on a GPS unit and compared to known block boundaries.
