"ROCKING ON"
The program uses the rocks found in the dunes by participants to discover the evidence of past volcanoes, tropical oceans, continental glaciers and more!
Time: 1.5 hours
"GHOST TOWN"
This is a walking history program on the once-thriving village of Hamlin that encompassed the Big Sable River. Participants will visit the ruins of the 1852 dam that broke in 1888 washing away buildings plus the old village cemetery.

Please Note: The Big Sable Lighthouse, Great Lakes Visitor Center and the modern day-use area restrooms are closed at this time of the year. Participants will have use to vault toilets at the Hamlin Beach Picnic Pavilion and Fish Cleaning Area Warming Shelter.
This program is free to all participants. All school buses will have free entry into the park. Private vehicles will be required to have a motor vehicle permit. The daily permit is $6.
