Wetlands - Nature's Water Filter!

An outdoor Water Quality Investigation - students will participate in four outdoor labs which demonstrate four ways water quality is evaluated; students will discover the valuable role wetlands play a "nature's water filter;" and students will utilize limnological instruments and indexes, canoes and water chemical tests to evaluate water quality of the Tobico Lagoon -- a great hands-on field trip for students participating in the Saginaw River School River Monitoring Project. Designed for 4th-8th grade students.
This program is free to all participants. All school buses will have free entry into the park. Private vehicles will be required to have a motor vehicle permit. The daily permit is $6.
