• Contract Information The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Procurement Services is soliciting completed Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing Timber Sale Preparation Services for the State of Michigan. The purpose is to pre-qualify bidders for timber sale preparation work on State forest land for the DNR, Forest, Mineral and Fire Management Division (FMFMD). The work which will be offered under this contract will include but is not limited to: tree marking, tree measurements, point cruising, interior payment unit boundary marking, cutting boundary marking, property boundary marking, and area determination using GPS. Pre-qualified contractors are authorized to bid on work when advertised.
| • Timber Sale Preparation Bidding Process When work becomes available for bidding, an email will be sent to all pre-qualified bidders and the bid information will be posted on the Timber Sale Preparation web page under the title Available Bid Packets. The email will notify bidders of the location of the work and include a link to the Timber Sale Preparation web page. • -Negotiated Sales These were sales that went No Bid or that had rejected bids when they were first advertised. After the bid opening, a contractor made an offer to do the work at the same terms as were advertised. If the offered price was reasonable, we accepted the offer.
