Hartwick Pines-Critters in the Moonlight

This Halloween program starts at 4:30  p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.  The forest animals will be played by costumed volunteers who will tell visitors a little about each animal to dispel some of the common misconceptions.  The "critters" will include a bat, skunk, bear, wolf, snake, owl, spider, vulture and others.  After the walk visitors can enjoy a cup of cider, and doughnut at the picnic shelter.  Children are encouraged to dress in costume and will receive a treat bag while supplies last.

There is no charge to participate in the event but motor vehicles are required to display a motor vehicle permit or purchase one at the park entrance for $6 for a daily, $24 for an annual (expires 12/31/2009) or for vehicles not registered in Michigan-$8 and $29.
