"No Spike" Regulation For Archery and Firearm Hunters

Persons hunting South Fox Island (DMU 245), Drummond Island (DMU 117), and DMU 135 are permitted to take an antlered deer only if it has two or more antler points on one side, each one or more inches in length.  In DMU 117 the U.P. buck regulations apply.  Your archery license, or combination license when used during the archery season, is still valid for taking an antlerless deer in these three units.

 

Experimental Deer Management Unit Regulations

Persons hunting in DMUs 045 and 122 are permitted to take an antlered deer only if it has three or more antler points on one side, each one or more inches in length. Your archery license, or combination license when used during the archery season, is still valid for taking an antlerless deer in these units.

 

Special Season for Disabled Hunters

A person issued a permit to hunt from a standing vehicle, who is legally blind or is a 100% disabled veteran,  may hunt deer on the October 16-19, 2008 on private lands with a firearm. Hunters must have a valid firearm, combination deer, or private land antlerless deer license to participate.  For more infromation please ckick here.
