1462nd Transportation Company to return from Iraq

Lansing, Mich. – Following a 10-month deployment tour in Iraq, 156 Soldiers from the 1462nd Transportation Company are expected to arrive at the Howell Armory on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 9:00 a.m.
The Soldiers were called to active duty December 2003 and sent to Fort McCoy, Wis. for in-processing and mission specific training. They arrived in Iraq March 2004.
Today, more than 2,000 Michigan National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are deployed across the globe. As the Michigan Guard serves the nation, more than 9,000 members remain in reserve, ready to respond to state emergencies including homeland defense events.
