BATTLE CREEK ANG BASE, Mich., December 3, 2004   Tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. 10 members of the 110th Fighter Wing will be receiving Bronze Star Medals or Distinguished Flying Crosses for their service during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

These 10 award winners will be joining 14 others from the Wing that received their Bronze Star Medals or Distinguished Flying Crosses in June, bringing the total of recipients of these high level awards for a single contingency operation to 24, an unprecedented fete in the Battle Creek unit’s history.

Also at the formation, up to approximately 40 other awards will be awarded to other members for outstanding or meritorious service to the Air National Guard.

The Wing leadership will use the opportunity to announce the outstanding Airman, Non-commissioned Officer, Senior Non-commissioned Officer, Company Grade Officer, Volunteer, and First Sergeant of the Year.
