| Saving $ on Vehicle Maintenance |
- In the Lansing area:
- Schedule oil changes at the downtown Lansing Motor Pool. Call 517-241-0437 to schedule an appointment.
- Use the full service VTS Garage at the Secondary Complex for maintenance, towing, 30 minute oil changes, car washes and more. Call 517-322-5118 to schedule an appointment.
- If service in the Lansing area is inconvenient, use these national account vendors for oil changes and routine maintenance:

- Present your MAP guide found in your vehicle's glove box. Use of vendors from MAP's preferred lists save the state money because preferred vendors discount their services.
- Use Goodyear or Firestone stores for tire replacement. They extend government pricing which is even better than national account pricing.
- Outside of Lansing, always call Wheels first at 800-937-8149 when you require a tow. They will arrange a local towing vendor for your particular situation.
- Change oil at 5,000 miles. This is the recommended interval for passenger cars and light duty trucks.
- Do not change spark plugs and automatic transmission fluids before the recommended interval. Many cars have 100,000 mile spark plugs.
