When can an employee who is at their workstation receive reimbursement for meals?
 
Answer:

Please note if you are in attendance and you are released for the meal period you will not be eligible for any meal reimbursement at your Home or Official Work Station.

 

*  Convention or other formal gathering called by an independent organization.  When the employee is required to stay on site.  (regular rate)

 

**Attendance at prearranged meeting called by a commission, department or agency head.  When the employee is required to stay on site or is in attendance at a meeting which includes the meal.  (group rate)

 

***Attendance at impromptu or informal meetings or conferences not previously arranged which involves both employees who are at the work/home station and employees who are not.  Must have certification that it was necessary to keep the group together during the meal period.  (regular rate)
