Section 9006 Grants Now Available The USDA Rural Development released its Notice of Funding Availability for this year's Section 9006 clean energy grant and loan guarantee program. The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Improvements Program, with $36 million in overall funding available, gives farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses new opportunities to install energy efficiency upgrades and new renewable energy systems. | ETA Solicits Grant Applications for Energy Industry Job Training On January 23, the Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (ETA) announced a solicitation for grant applications under the President's High Growth Job Training Initiative. Approximately $10 million in grant money is available "for high-impact regional approaches to meet the workforce challenges of the energy industry and/or address the shortage of construction and skilled trade workers needed to maintain and expand the energy industry infrastructure."
| MBEP Workshop and Event Funding Up to $2,500 is available to support a workshop or event that promotes the production, commercialization, and use of biomass in Michigan. Workshops/events must take place in Michigan and occur between October 1, 2007 and June 15, 2008. Public and non-profit organizations are eligible to submit proposals. Funds will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis until all money is distributed.
