The Energy Office is the point of reference for the U.S. Department of Energy's Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) . The Industrial Technologies Program partners with U.S. industry to improve industrial energy efficiency and environmental performance.

Program Areas: ITP areas work together to reduce the energy requirements of manufacturing while stimulating economic productivity and growth. These include: Industries of the Future, BestPractices, Crosscutting Technologies, Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs) and Industrial Energy Systems.

DOE Save Energy Now Assessments for manufacturing facilities are still available!

The Department of Energy Save Energy Now program is still accepting Energy Saving Assessment applications for the remainder of 2007 and 2008. The DOE has also reduced the energy usage requirements to 300 billion Btu per year. For more information please visit the Save Energy Now website by following the link below.

Financial Incentives

At this time there are no State of Michigan incentives for Industrial Energy Efficiency. Information will be posted here if they become available.
