State Plumbing Board Responsibilities and Meeting Schedule

The State Plumbing Board was created by 2002 PA 733. The duties of the board include making recommendations for plumbing code rules; licensing plumbers; and making all orders, rules, and regulations necessary for the enforcement of the provisions of the act.

Of the 7 members of the board, 5 are appointed by the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate to serve 3-year terms. Upon expiration of a term, a member may continue to serve until a successor is appointed. Two board members serve by virtue of their positions in state government.
