CIS Awards Delta College Grant to Sponsor Energy Efficiency Seminar For Home Owners, Renters, Businesses andBuilders

AUGUST 12, 1997 - Many Saginaw area residents will have lower heating and cooling bills, thanks to a $12,000 grantto teach consumers and home builders better ways to reduce energy costs.

 

The funds were awarded to Delta Community College to offer seminars for home buyers,builders and remodelers on how energy efficiency can lower operating costs and add value tohomes. Builders will learn the most cost-effective energy improvements, while consumers canfind out how to select the best energy efficiency features.

 

The program is available through the Energy Resources Division of the Michigan Department ofConsumer & Industry Services.
