SEPTEMBER 23, 1999 - The Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services (CIS) has summarily suspended the osteopathic physician’s license of Paul Henry Ribbentrop due to five June 1999 felony convictions of Controlled Substance - Delivery/Manufacture. Ribbentrop failed to report these convictions to the Department as required by the Public Health Code. Ribbentrop’s license was summarily suspended pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional’s license upon conviction of a felony, a two-year misdemeanor, or a misdemeanor involving controlled substances. An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Ribbentrop’s suspended osteopathic license.
