CIS Summarily Suspends Merrill Nurse's License For Conviction

NOVEMBER 21, 2000 - The Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services (CIS) has summarily suspended the practical nurse license of Anthony Joseph Schultz, L.P.N. due to convictions of Children–Distributing Obscene Matter To and Indecent Exposure. Schultz failed to report the convictions to the Department as required by the Public Health Code. Schultz’s license to practice nursing was summarily suspended pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional’s license upon conviction of a two-year misdemeanor.

 

An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Schultz’s suspended nursing license.
