OCTOBER 26, 2001 - Tune in on Saturday morning from 8-9 a.m. to “Consumer Insider” to learn more about how the State of Michigan is proactively addressing public health and safety concerns about bio-terrorism.
This week’s radio program features special guests, Colonel Michael D. Robinson, director of the Michigan State Police, and David Johnson, M.D., Deputy Director and Chief Medical Executive of the Department of Community Health.
“Consumer Insider” is a new weekly live talk radio program hosted by Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services Director Kathleen M. Wilbur in an effort to educate consumers about state government resources. Past topics have included Breast Cancer Awareness Month/Mammography inspections and a discussion with Public Service Commission Chair Laura Chappelle about Gasoline Prices/Protection of Utilities after the Sept. 11 attack.
Consumer Insider is aired live from 8-9 a.m. on Saturdays on the Michigan Talk Radio Network and simulcast on www.mlive.com. It is rebroadcast on Saturday evenings from 7-8 p.m. and archived on www.mlive.com. Wilbur is also the host of CIS’ cable show, “Consumer’s Corner,” which received three Telly awards last year for shows on the Governor’s Quality Care Awards, Hospice, and Youth Employment.
