December 12, 2007-The Michigan Commission for the Blind (MCB) Training Center welcomes the public to its annual Holiday Open House on Wednesday, December 19, 1-4 p.m., at 1541 Oakland Drive in Kalamazoo. Throughout the afternoon, students will be on hand to provide tours of the residential training center and share information about the training they receive to learn how to do things in new ways without sight. The open house will include a buffet of hot and cold appetizers. An RSVP is appreciated, but not required-please call 269-337-3854.
MCB provides training and other opportunities for individuals who are blind to achieve independence and/or employment, annually serving more than 4,500 state residents who are blind or visually impaired.
