More than 170,000 manufacturing jobs have left Michigan since the beginning of the century.  Our economy has abruptly shifted, leaving many workers facing unemployment.  Many displaced workers will need new skills to qualify for emerging job opportunities.  Credit unions, with the State of Michigan, are ideally situated to respond to this demand with affordable financing and assistance.
