The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement authorizing Wisconsin Public Service Corporation to incorporate into its rates a uniform gas cost recovery factor of $0.65978 per therm for the billing months of November and December 2004 and $0.72778 per therm for the billing months of January 2005 through October 2005.

The utility is also authorized to adjust its GCR price ceiling on a quarterly basis in accordance with the settlement agreement and to implement transportation charges of $0.53667 per month per therm of demand for peak day backup (annual option) and a factor for annual supply backup of $0.59097 per therm for the period November 2004 through October 2005.

The average residential natural gas customer will see a monthly bill increase of about $13.60 during the heating season.
