| I would like to conduct a wine tasting at my grocery store or in the vacant building next door. What are the rules? |

A. MCL 436.2027 allows wine tasting events only in establishments licensed to sell for on-premises consumption. Therefore, only licensed bars, restaurants, hotels, clubs and Special 24-hour licensees can host a wine tasting event. Neither your grocery store nor the vacant building next door could be used to host a wine tasting event.
